Tuition & Housing FAQ’s
Where can I find BAA tuition costs?
You can find tuition information for all BAA Programs, Workshops and Intensives on our Tuition Costs page.
How do I register for programs and pay my tuition?
Click HERE to register for programs, pay your tuition or complete an existing order.
Do I have to pay a deposit to hold my spot?
For all Workshops and Intensives, students must submit a $300.00 deposit payment to secure their spot. You will be informed of the deadline for this payment when you receive your acceptance status e-mail from our Admissions Director.
I see two different deposit deadlines in my Alumni Acceptance Email. Which programs are considered “Fall/Winter” and which are considered “Spring/Summer”?
Fall/Winter programs take place September 1st through February 28th each academic year, while Spring/Summer programs take place March 1st through August 31st.
Is there a payment plan available for BAA tuition?
You will be able to pay your $300.00 deposit and the remaining tuition balance in two separate installments online, provided that both payments are received by their respective deadlines. If you would like to break your tuition up into smaller payments, simply call the office and we will be able to process the desired amounts over the phone.
What is the benefit of paying my full tuition by the Early Bird Deadline?
Paying your tuition in full by the Early Bird Deadline allows you to receive a substantial discount on the total amount due. Kindly note that we are NOT able to extend Early Bird pricing past the deadline. Please see our Tuition Information page for more details!
What happens if I do not pay my tuition by the deadline?
If we have not received your full tuition payment by the Regular Tuition Deadline, BAA reserves the right to credit your Deposit Payment to your account, release your spot to another student, and place you on the Waitlist. Once the deadline has passed, BAA can no longer guarantee you a spot in the program to which you were accepted.
Does BAA provide housing for me while I am taking classes in NYC?
No. Students are responsible for their own room and board while attending BAA programs; however, we typically offer one or more recommended hotels where BAA students and their family members can receive a group rate discount. For more information about these hotels, please click HERE.
Does BAA provide chaperones at the recommended hotels?
No, BAA is not able to provide a chaperone to walk students to and from the BAA recommended hotels. Students must arrive at the entrance of the 520 8th Ave. building with their parent/guardian (if under 18), where they will be met by their student advisor for check in!
How old do I have to be to stay in the recommended hotels without a parent or guardian?
For the BAA recommended hotels (and most other NYC hotels), you must be at least 18 years of age to stay in a hotel room without a parent or guardian.
