  Virtual Semester for Serious Young Professionals

10 weeks – Meets Weekly on Saturdays
1:00pm-3:00pm EST
Seeking a cohort of 12 advanced young professionals!

Early Bird Tuition: $1,195.00 (Register by 2/23/24)
Tuition: $1,395.00 – Installments available.
Application Necessary? Yes. BAA Alumni may register directly.
Audition or Admissions Letter Necessary? Yes (BAA Alumni may by-pass the audition with an invitation.)
Deposit and Payment Plan options available! A deposit of $300 is all that is needed to begin class.

  Location: This program is fully virtual, via Zoom! You may participate live, on camera weekly, from wherever you are!

Connect and study directly with top industry pros: Broadway Casting Directors, Top Talent Agents, BAA’s Artistic Director, Senior Staff and College Faculty, an Associate Broadway Director, Broadway Dance Captains and a Tony Award Nominated Broadway Star, all within 10 weeks!

  Musical Theatre Audition Technique: Tricks of the Trade!
Getting to know you: Your 16 and 32-Bar Cut Audition! with top NYC Casting Director Bob Cline (of Bob Cline Casting) and BAA’s Artistic Director Jennifer Johns (Work session and test drive your Rep and receive additional audition material suggestions!).
    
  Week Two (Online):
  Making it On Broadway: From a Top Broadway Casting Director’s Perspective
Your 32-Bar Audition Cut with a Broadway Casting Director from Tara Rubin Casting!
   
  Week Three (Online):
  On Camera Audition Technique and Monologue Work
With a Broadway Casting Director from Telsey & Co Casting on your on camera audition technique. You will be assigned a real audition scene to a current project for feedback from this top NY Casting Director.
   
  Week Four (Online):
  The Broadway Chorus Call: Making an impression with 16-Bars!
With a Broadway Casting Director from Stewart/Whitley Casting Present your best two 16 bar options for honest feedback from this prolific Casting Director.
   
  Week Five (Online):
  TV/Film Audition Technique From A-Z
Deep Dive into understanding and approaching Generals, Pilot Auditions, Episodics, Guest Stars and Series Regulars, Commercial Copy, Chemistry Reads, Screen Tests and more) with a Broadway and TV/Film actor Paul Schaefer and a top NYC TV/Film Casting Director.
   
  Week Six (Online):
  Voiceover Audition Crash Course with a Top Voice Over Agent or Voice Over Coach
Learn how to keep yourself busy auditioning and working during a time that has fewer live theatre opportunities and even more on-camera and voiceover opportunities!
   
  Week Seven (Online):
  The Broadway Dance Call or Associate Director Callback Day
  Option 1: With a Broadway Performer and Dance Captain! Learn how to stand out in a crowd during your next Musical Theatre Dance Call, no matter what your current dance level! Review important terminology or Option 2: Work with a Broadway Associate Director to learn what it takes to stand out in the audition process for their show. (Choose to present a Song or Monologue as an intro to the Director and get assigned a “callback scene” as a result of the energy you showcase!)
   
  Week Eight (Online):
  Let’s Talk Shop: The Business of Broadway Panel (Professional Development)
We’ll talk about Social Media, Creating or Perfecting your own Performer Websites, Headshots and Resumes, Performance Reels, Youtube Channels, Breakdown Services, Actors Access and other helpful Online Websites tools and trustworthy resources for actors, union versus nonunion auditions, Understanding all aspects of the Industry and it’s players. Led by BAA’s Artistic Director Jennifer Johns and special Personal Branding and Website Design guest.
 
  Week Nine (Online):
  Making it on Broadway Master Class with a Tony Award Nominated Broadway Performer!
Present your choice of a 32 Bar song or a Monologue for individualized one on one Feedback to one of Broadway’s top stars! This week will also help to woodshed and coach the two pieces you perform in next week’s final Industry showcase!
   
  Week Ten (Online):
  Final Industry Showcase for Family and Additional Industry (Agents and Managers)
  Looking for Representation? Showcase two pieces (a song and a monologue, two songs, two monologues, a song and a dance solo, etc) for a top NYC and LA Industry Panel including Agents, Managers, and additional Casting Directors you have yet to meet! We invite Talent Representatives (Agents and Managers) who are truly scouting for their current client lists! Receive individual feedback following your performance!

**Make-Up Class option:
Have the need to miss a class or two? While we prefer to keep the cohort together every week, life happens! With BAA Conservatory you will have access to a video library of all your classes 24 hours after they take place. If you miss a class you will both be able to view the video and receive an individualized assignment based on the class topic. Once you turn in your recorded response you will receive video feedback on your work!
