About A Killer Party!: The BAA team, in partnership with MTI, Showtix4U, and Broadway Media is excited to have the honor of being the first performing organization to present this brand new 90 minute virtual musical based on the 9 series Musical originally starring BAA favorites Jeremy Jordan, Laura Osnes, Jackie Burns, and more! For Dear Edwina, BAA will be among the first to present this fully remote, online version performance and professional level presentation opportunity!
We are recruiting and casting with full priority given to BAA Alumni and are certain that both BAA and MTI will be incredibly proud of the talent represented in these highly publicized premiere performances!
These are by-audition only performance projects. Over the course of seven virtual group rehearsals and private coaching sessions, students cast in A Killer Party: A Murder Mystery Musical and Dear Edwina: The Online Edition will have the opportunity to rehearse and perform roles in the brand new virtual versions of these two beautifully crafted musicals.
All rehearsals will take place via Zoom. Final performances will be filmed and professionally edited for a live streaming event release. Performers will be mentored and directed by Broadway’s best and perform alongside incredibly talented BAA performers of all ages from all across the country and even overseas! (Rehearsal times are all indicated in Eastern Standard Time).

What started as a star-studded mini series has now been adapted into a brand new 90 minute musical!
ABOUT: When Varthur McArthur, the artistic director of a failing theater in Duluth, invites his troupe of disgruntled actors and collaborators to the first read of an “immersive murder mystery dinner party,” no one knew that he would be the victim. Or did they? Enter eager, determined, and untested Detective Justine Case. After sequestering the guests into separate rooms (because, you know, social-distancing), she gets down to finding out whodunnit, uncovering secret affairs, life-long grudges, backstage drama, and a lot of musical theater song and dance, with every suspect getting a chance to share their side of the story.

Dear Edwina: Online Edition
ABOUT: This stage classic is now revamped for our digital age! Dear Edwina Online Edition follows the adventures of plucky advice-giver-extraordinaire, Edwina Spoonapple, as she directs the neighborhood kids in a series of buoyant production numbers for the latest edition of her weekly “Advice-a-Palooza.” Edwina and her friends share wisdom on everything from trying new foods to making new friends, through clever, catchy and poignant songs. Heartwarming and fun, this tale of finding yourself is one any young performer can relate to!
