(Composer/Actor) has won three Tony® Awards, two Grammy Awards, an Emmy, a Pulitzer Prize, a MacArthur Fellowship, and a Special Kennedy Center Honor Award. He won his Tony® Awards for Best Original Score (Hamilton and In The Heights) and Best Book of a Musical (Hamilton). Other Tony® Award nominations include Best Leading Actor in a Musical for his leading roles in Hamilton and In The Heights. Lin-Manuel also co-wrote the music and lyrics for Broadway’s Bring It On with Tom Kitt and Amanda Greenwhile also collaborating with Stephen Sondheim on Spanish translations for the Broadway revival of West Side Story. His film composition credits include co-writing the music for Walt Disney Animation Studio’s soundtrack to Moana, and he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original song for the hit “How Far I’ll Go.” He also contributed music and vocals for a scene in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Lin-Manuel also recently co-starred alongside Emily Blunt in Mary Poppins Returns, a sequel to the beloved film that originally starred Julie Andrews and Dick van Dyke, and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for his performance of the lamplighter, Jack.
