Donna McKechnie
(Actor/Choreographer) is best known for her Tony® Award winning performance of Cassie in the original Broadway production of A Chorus Line. Other Broadway credits include The Visit, State Fair (Emily Arden), On the Town (Ivy Smith), Company (Kathy), Promises, Promises (Vivien Della Hoya), The Education of H*Y*M*A*N*K*A*P*L*A*N (Kathy McKenna), and How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying. West End credits: Promises, Promises, Company, No Way to Treat a Lady (choreographer), Cole Porter’s Can Can, and Follies. Donna’s one woman musical, My Musical Comedy Life, received unanimous raves from New York Theater credits, a Mac Award Nomination for Best Female Singer, and the Bistro Award for Outstanding Major Engagement. She was recently seen at Feinstein’s/54 Below in A Visit with Kander & Ebb, as well as in a tour performance of her cabaret show, Same Place, Another Time. Regional credits include Sweet Charity (Charity, Helen Hayes Award Nomination), The Glass Menagerie, The Subject was Roses, Irma La Douce, Cabaret, The Three Penny Opera, and Williamstown Theatre Festival’s production of Ten Cents a Dance. Donna was featured in the documentary film, Every Little Step, about casting the revival of A Chorus Line. Other film credits include The Little Prince (Rose).
