Crista Moore
(Actress) has been nominated twice for a Tony® Award, first in her Broadway debut, starring in the title role opposite Tyne Daly in Gypsy (Tony®, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle nominations, and a Theatre World Award), followed by Big, the musical, in which she created the role of Susan (Tony®, Drama Desk Outer Critics Circle nominations for Best Actress). She recently appeared in the off-Broadway production of Nassim. Other Broadway credits include Waiting In The Wings (Zelda Fenwick, playing opposite Lauren Bacall), Jumpers, Absurd Person Singular (Eva, Jane). Crista most recently created the featured role of Isabella in Radio City Music Hall’s New York Spring Spectacular. National Tours: Crazy For You (Polly), The Addams Family (Alice). Crista starred in New York City Opera’s productions of Cinderella (Cinderella), Wonderful Town ( Eileen), and 110 In The Shade (Snookie) at Lincoln Center. Off-Broadway credits include Tartuffe (Elmire), Zorba (The Widow, at York Theatre’s Musicals In Mufti), Birds Of Paradise (Julia, at the Promenade Theatre), Rags (Bella), created the role of Laura in David Ives play Long Ago And Far Away (Ensemble Studio Theatre). Concerts include “The Golden Apple” (Penelope) with The American Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jonathan Tunick, “The Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala honoring Arthur Laurents,” hosted by Stephen Sondheim, “Broadway Originals” at NYC’s Town Hall, “Unsung Musicals” (Danny Kaye Playhouse). Crista has starred in many Regional Theatre plays and musicals across the country, ranging from Eliza in My Fair Lady, to speaking entirely in French as Lucille in Ackbourne’s House and Country. Featured roles in film and TV include independent filmmaker Todd Solondz’s film Storytelling (which played the 2001 Cannes Film Festival), Law and Order SVU, All My Children, Days Of Our Lives, as well as appearances on Entertainment Tonight, CNN, and Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This year, she is working on Disney’s brand new stage version of their animated film Tangled, playing the role of Mother Gothel.
