Nick Rehberger recently starred as Will Shakespeare in the Chicago stage debut of Shakespeare in Love. He was last seen on Broadway as Fyedka in Bartlett Sher’s production of Fiddler on the Roof. Other credits include the Broadway production of The Glass Menagerie (directed by John Tiffany), “Elementary” on CBS, “Girls” and “The Deuce” on HBO, “Gotham” on FOX, Justin Kelly’s independent feature film, I Am Michael, and the web series “[Blank] My Life.” He is a proud graduate of the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. Nick’s Coaching Philosophy

The most important lesson I’ve learned so far is that everything comes down to preparation. In the arts, there are so many things we can’t control (casting needs, audition conditions, other people’s opinions, etc.), but we can walk into a room with great material that we are comfortable with, a flexible plan, and a level head on our shoulders so that we are prepared to do our best work possible in any situation. Every form of storytelling involves honest, moment-to-moment acting, and I want to help students get there—whether in scenes, monologues, or songs. I want students to leave a coaching feeling prepared, positive, and excited about their work. Nothing needs to be scary! Everyone learns and grows differently and I love getting to know students and figuring out how best to help. And, having been through the college audition process for several different programs as well as my own conservatory training, I am excited to help students on their college journey.
