Michael Ricciardone (Vocal technician, music director, actor, singer, vocal coach, pianist and lecturer) has worked extensively in both the music theatre and operatic worlds. He was seen as Max in Sunset Boulevard opposite Petula Clark. He also starred as Georges in La Cage aux Folles, the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, Don Quixote/Cervantes in Man of La Mancha and Father in Violet. On TV he was the first actor to sing on Law and Order. In the operatic world he was sung leading tenor roles in La Boheme, Carmen, La Traviata, La Rondine in addition to the New York premieres of Zaza and Giulietta e Romeo. He was on the voice faculty and the coordinator of vocal studies at NYU Steinhardt where he taught voice, song analysis, and served as music director and conductor of the most successful classical and music theatre productions. He also sat on the entrance and placement committees in addition to giving Master Classes at the Classical Singer Competition and at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Mr. Ricciardone was on the faculty at NYU for over 20 years.
