Originally from Canada, Katie Cochrane recently graduated from NYU Steinhardt’s prestigious Master of Musical Theatre and advanced certificate in Vocal Pedagogy program. Katie has performed across the United States and Canada; recent theatre credits include NYU’s main stage production of Sister Act as Mother Superior and Steinhardt’s A La Carte production of On the Town. Past credits include: Ado Annie in Oklahoma! (Opera NUOVA), Jenny in Company (MTOT), Pitti Sing in The Mikado (MCO) and Ms. Nordstrom in A Little Night Music (HSOF). Katie’s Coaching Philosophy

My goal as a voice teacher/teaching artist is to help nurture and develop a student’s voice at its current state, while helping them discover their full potential. I want to promote healthy, free and expressive singing. I want to focus on what makes the student special, identify their challenges, and cater to their strengths and individuality to determine strategies for maximum growth.
