Joe Longworth is the Director and Choreographer of Off-Broadway’s Book of Merman. Joe recently directed the premiere of the new “dark comedy” Suicidal Life Coach by R.K. Rich. Other directing credits: Carousel (2017 nominee, Best Production – Los Angeles, BroadwayWorld), West Side Story (2016 nominee, Best Revival, Los Angeles Critics Circle) and South Pacific (2015 nominee, Best Director/Choreographer, Scenie Awards.) Regional premieres: Once Upon A Pastime (Director) by Terry Cashman and Last Gas (Choreographer) by John Cariani. Joe directed Tony nominee Laura Osnes in her cabaret debut at Café Carlyle and Tony winner Paulo Szot at the Spoleto Festival in Italy. Broadway: Casting Director/Associate Choreographer of Lincoln Center Theatre’s South Pacific and Associate Director of Geoffrey Naufft’s Next Fall. Joe is currently writing book and lyrics to the new musical, Fixing Frankie, alongside composer Steve Marzullo.
