David’s Coaching Philosophy

After having taught voice and acting to all ages and levels for many years, I don’t believe that there is only one approach to developing young talent. There are so many different kinds of performers and I want to work with the individual to bring out what is unique and special about them. It is also imperative to work on the students’ weaknesses while keeping development as an artist rewarding. I’m passionate about exposing students to new and different repetoire and love teaching songs and monologues from classical to contemporary. My students are currently attending all of the top college programs in the country for musical theater and acting and are working in regional and national tours as well as film and TV. It is a joy to continue mentoring students from their beginning to watching them emerge as viable young talent in the professional world.
