The #Queendom of SIX arrives to BAA to make you the 10 amongst the threes when it comes to mastering your contemporary musical theatre and pop songs. It’s one day, two queens in this Six: The Musical Themed Day. Work one-on-one with both Andrea Macasaet (Broadway’s Anne Boleyn) and Samantha Pauly (Broadway’s Katherine Howard).

This class is open to intermediate and advanced musical theatre performers. No audition is necessary to register. Participants need to bring a 16-32 bar cut of an audition song (about 1 minute) either Musical Theatre or Pop. Participants will need to have an accompaniment track, ready to play! Teaching: Nailing your Audition with Song Interpretation (11:00am1:30pm ET)
Andrea is a Filipino-Canadian actress, singer, and dancer, originating the role of Anne Boleyn in the Broadway production of Six the Musical. She also played the same role in the North American Tour, beginning on 14 May 2019. In the US she has been seen at Chicago’s Shakespeare Theater, American Repertory Theater, The Citadel Theatre and The Ordway Center of Performing Arts. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Canada, and a graduate from CCPA (Victoria, Canada). Canadian credits include Heathers: The Musical, Avenue Q, Miss Saigon and Prairie Nurse. SAMANTHA PAULY:
Teaching: How to Land Your Next Contemporary Musical Theatre, Pop/Rock Audition! (Songs Feedback) (2:30pm-5:00pm ET)
Samantha is best known for originating the role of Katherine Howard in SIX the Musical on Broadway. She has been part of the show since its US premiere at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, for which she received a Joseph Jefferson Award. In the summer of 2019 Samantha was hand picked by Andrew Lloyd Weber and Jamie Lloyd to play Eva Peron after an international search for Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre’s revival of Evita on the West End. The production went on to receive nominations and wins at The Evening Standard Theatre Awards, the WhatsOnStage Awards, and the Oliviers. Favorite credits include: Valkyrie in the National Tour of Bat Out Of Hell, Betsy in Honeymoon in Vegas, Eva Peron in Evita, Jovie in Elf the Musical, and Amber von Tussle in Hairspray, to name a few. Online One Day Master Classes are open to ages 10-25.
Class size is typically limited to 12 participants to ensure that each student receives personal attention from our special guest instructors. Enrollment will be closed when the class reaches capacity.
The basics about BAA online classes:
What you’ll need to have:
- An internet connection.
- A computer or connecting device with a camera.
- A secondary device in which to play your accompaniment track (for vocal sessions).
- A quiet space to connect from.
- A headset for when you are listening to other people perform or the instructor speak! (You can remove them when it is your turn to perform!)

How will it work?
- We will meet using ZOOM.
This is a free service you may already have. Please, download the latest version to guarantee a smooth connection and use of all the latest features. When creating your user name, please make sure it features the student’s NAME and/or LAST NAME so you can be easily and properly identified by the instructor. - Logging into your ZOOM class room.
You’ll receive a Zoom class room link before the start of the first session of your selected series. This will be the same link you’ll use every week to connect. - Only participants registered in the Master Class will be allowed in. So, reserve your spot in a timely manner!
- Your instructor will be accompanied by a BAA Staff member during each Master Class. The BAA staff member will supervise, address and help with any technical questions, and guarantee each performer gets equal work time with the instructor. During vocal classes, we will lead a warm up right before so everyone is ready to sing!
