ONLINE Master Class with Tony Winner Randy Graff

Get ready to explore the depth of song interpretation with Tony winner, Randy Graff, from Broadway’s City of Angels, Falsettos and the original cast of Les Miserables!
Participants will work one-on-one with Randy. This class is open to intermediate and advanced musical theatre performers. No audition is necessary to register. Participants need to bring a 16-32 bar cut of an audition song (about 1 minute) either Musical Theatre or Pop. Participants will need to have an accompaniment track, ready to play! ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Randy won a Tony® Award for her performance in City of Angels (Oolie/Donna). She also originated the role of Fantine in the original Broadway production of Les Misérables and was nominated for Tony®, Outer Critic, and Drama Desk Awards for A Class Act (Sophie). She was most recently seen performing in the musical celebration Made In Brooklyn…Bound For Broadway on Stage at Kingsborough. Other Broadway credits include: Fiddler on the Roof (Golde), Grease (Sandy, Rizzo, Frenchy, Patty, Marty, Betty, Cha-Cha, Miss Lynch), High Society (Liz Imbrie), Moon Over Buffalo (Rosalind), Laughter on the 23rd Floor (Carol), Falsettos (Trina), and Saravá (Rosalia). Films: Rent (Mrs. Cohen), Moon Over Broadway, Keys to Tulsa (Louise Brinkman). TV: Law & Order (Dr. Martha Kershan, Hillary Morto, Helen DeVries) and Mad About You (Sharon). Randy has graced the stages of Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Town Hall and The Kennedy Center as well as appearing as a guest soloist with several world class symphonies, and has her own solo album Doing Something Right- Randy Graff Sings Cy Coleman. She is also currently on faculty at the Manhattan School of Music. .
Online One Day Master Classes are open to students ages 10-21, and class size is typically limited to 14 participants to ensure that each student receives personal attention from our special guest instructors. Enrollment will be closed when the class becomes full.
Your BAA application fee will be waived if you are interested in only attending One Day Master Classes. You will see the waiver option at the end of the Online Application (which you will still need to complete!)

What you’ll need to have:
- An internet connection.
- A computer or connecting device with a camera.
- A secondary device in which to play your accompaniment track (for vocal sessions).
- A quiet space to connect from.
- A headset for when you are listening to other people perform or the instructor speak! (You can remove them when it is your turn to perform!)

How will it work?
- We will meet using ZOOM.
This is a free service you may already have. Please, download the latest version to guarantee a smooth connection and use of all the latest features. When creating your user name, please make sure it features the student’s NAME and/or LAST NAME so you can be easily and properly identified by the instructor. - Logging into your ZOOM class room.
You’ll receive a Zoom class room link before the start of the first session of your selected series. This will be the same link you’ll use every week to connect. - Only participants registered in the Master Class will be allowed in. So, reserve your spot in a timely manner!
- Your instructor will be accompanied by a BAA Staff member during each Master Class. The BAA staff member will supervise, address and help with any technical questions, and guarantee each performer gets equal work time with the instructor. During vocal classes, we will lead a warm up right before so everyone is ready to sing!
