Newsies! Rock of Ages! Bonnie and Clyde! West Side Story! TV’s Smash! TV’s Supergirl! The Last Five Years movie! Tony Nominee, Jeremy Jordan has done it all, and now you can work one-on-one with him on your Song Interpretation skills in this exclusive BAA One Day Master Class.
Be ready to perform 16-32 bar cuts of your favorite songs. Bring your sheet music in a 3-ring binder, properly marked and in the correct key. Participants will be working with a live accompanist.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Jeremy Jordan received a Tony® Award and Grammy nomination for his performance as Jack Kelly in Broadway’s Newsies. He can currently be seen on TV’s Supergirl as Winn. Jeremy also starred in the film version of Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years, playing opposite Anna Kendrick. Other Broadway credits include Bonnie and Clyde (Clyde Barrow), West Side Story (Tony), and Rock of Ages. Regional credits: Jack Kelly in Newsies (Papermill), Clyde Barrow in Bonnie and Clyde (Asolo Rep Theatre), Tom Sawyer in Big River (Goodspeed), J.M. Barrie in Finding Neverland (American Rep Theatre). Other film/TV credits: Elementary, Smash (Jimmy), Joyful Noise, Adam Underground, Law & Order: SVU.Webseries: “Submissions Only” Jeremy’s voice can be heard on the recordings of Dream a Little Dream: Live at the Cafe Carlyle (with Laura Osnes), Scott Alan Live, Love Me, Leave Me Not: The Music of Joey Contreras, and Sea for Two (with Lauren Molina).
One Day Master Classes are open to students ages 10-21, and class size is typically limited to 18 participants to ensure that each student receives personal attention from our special guest instructors. Enrollment will be closed two weeks prior to the Master Class date, or when the class becomes full – whichever comes first.
