Application Necessary? Yes. BAA Alumni may register directly.
Audition or Admissions Letter Necessary? Yes (BAA Alumni may by-pass the audition with an invitation.)
Deposit and Payment Plan options available! A deposit of $300 is all that is needed to begin class.
Location: This program is fully virtual, via Zoom! You may participate live, on camera weekly, from wherever you are!

Optional Add-on: 4 hours of Private coaching for $399

Perfect your craft, continue your professional development, and get the inside scoop on every aspect of both musical theatre and tv/film professional audition experiences as you hone your triple threat skills alongside like minded and passionate young professionals. Connect and study directly with top industry pros: Broadway Casting Directors, Top Talent Agents, BAA’s Artistic Director, Senior Staff and College Faculty, and a Broadway star, all within 10 weeks!

SAMPLE Curriculum (Instructors currently subject to change):

 

. Week One (Online):
  Getting to Know You: Your 16 or 32-Bar Cut Audition!
Your first work session will have you test drive your Rep with top NYC Casting Director Bob Cline (BAA’s Creative Director), and receive additional audition material suggestions! You’ll bring one 16 bar cut or one 32 bar cut of a Musical Theatre and/or Pop/Rock Selection that you love to sing and may use throughout the rest of the Conservatory weeks!
    
  Week Two (Online):
  Musical Theatre Audition Technique: Acting the Song – Self Tape Crash Course
Work on a 32 bar cut of a Musical Theatre Selection and receive insight on how to create your best self-tape space for our conservatory classes, zoom auditions, interviews, as well as future self-tape auditions! You’ll work with a Musical Theatre agent from Daniel Hoff Agency!
   
  Week Three (Online):
  Making an impression with your audition MONOLOGUE
Bring your own monologue and work one-on-one with Arbender Robinson of Firestarter Entertainment, and also BAA’s Associate Director. Arbender is an extraordinary Agent who represents talent in NYC, and expert actor/coach and a long time Broadway veteran.
   
  Week Four (Online):
  Rock your Audition with a Pop/Rock song!
Pop songs are becoming more and more common in the audition room and this is the perfect opportunity to work on one for your book! When we say “pop songs” we mean pop music, country, rock, singer/songwriter, folk, etc – Songs that are not from musicals. You’ll work with a prolific Broadway Casting Director from The TRC Company.
   
  Week Five (Online):
  Voiceover and Animation Crash Course
Discover an area of entertainment filled with opportunities for actors.
You will be given a selection of Animation and Voice Over sides that you can pick from and work one-on-one with a casting director from Liz Lewis Casting who has work on hundreds of on camera and VO commercials!
   
  Week Six (Online):
  TV/Film Audition Technique From A-Z (Scenes with a partner)
You’ll get to work with a partner in bringing a scene to life, hand in hand from a Broadway producer, coach and casting director!
   
  Week Seven (Online):
  Making it on Broadway Master Class with Broadway Guest Artist
  Surprise! You’ll get to perform your 32 bar cut song for a Broadway artist, who’ll work with you one-on-one in taking it to the next level.
   
  Week Eight (Online):
  Let’s Talk Shop: The Business of Broadway Panel (Professional Development)
You’ll receive a special Broadway biz packet and talk all about the Business of the Business with Tony Nominated producer and BAA Artistic Director and Founder Jennifer Johns. From industry, to college auditions, we’ll cover it all!
 
  Week Nine (Online):
  Broadway Audition Technique
Your Dress-Rehearsal for next week’s showcase! Work on creating an impression from your slate, and receive final tweaks and notes from a NYC top agent from MSA Agency.
   
  Week Ten (Online):
  Final Industry Showcase for Family and Additional Industry (Agents and Managers)
  Looking for Representation? Showcase two pieces (a song and a monologue, two songs, two monologues, a song and a dance solo, etc) for a top NYC and LA Industry Panel including Agents, Managers, and additional Casting Directors you have yet to meet! We invite Talent Representatives (Agents and Managers) who are truly scouting for their current client lists. Receive individual feedback following your performance!

**Make-Up Class option:
Have the need to miss a class or two? While we prefer to keep the cohort together every week, life happens! With BAA Conservatory you will have access to a video library of all your classes 24 hours after they take place. If you miss a class you will both be able to view the video and receive an individualized assignment based on the class topic. Once you turn in your recorded response you will receive video feedback on your work!
