auditioning for Musical Theatre and Acting BFA, BA, or BM University Programs!

Early Tuition: $1,195.00 (Register and pay in full by 3/27/2025)
Regular Tuition: $1,395.00 (Register by 4/10/2025. Installments available!)

 Yes. BAA Alumni may register directly.

Audition or Admissions Letter Necessary? Yes (BAA Alumni may bypass the audition with an invitation.)
Deposit and Payment Plan options available! A deposit of $300 is all that is needed to begin class.
Location: This program is fully virtual, via Zoom!
You may participate live, on camera weekly, from wherever you are!

The College Audition Prep Conservatory aims to support and guide High School Juniors prior to the College Audition Process, and will have them fully prepared with their 4-6 piece package by the end of the 8 weeks!

You’ll meet with the BAA team and top BFA and BA College Faculty Members weekly to explore and prepare your pieces both individually and as an elite cohort, joining with like-minded dedicated performers and teachers from all around the country. You’ll also perform weekly for College faculty and receive direct feedback in classes as well as our final mock college audition panel, with guest faculty members from the top University and College MT and Acting programs! Our College Conservatory and College Audition Workshop students have an incredible success rate of getting into multiple top BFA and BA Collegiate Performing Arts Programs on their “College Smart Lists”.

The BAA College Audition Prep Conservatory includes:

. Week One (Online):
Curating Your College Smart List / Prepping your Materials – Part I
BAA’s Artistic Director and College Audition Coach Jennifer Johns will guide you through selecting the right list of schools specifically for YOU! Come up with a “smart list” of schools and understand all of the specific audition requirements for each school’s audition and prescreen process! Plan and discuss material for next weeks’ classes and future college faculty classes. Learn what material and resources help you stand out in the audition and application process.
  
Week Two (Online):
Prepping your Materials – Part II
Workshop song and monologue ideas for immediate feedback from the college coaching team! Unsure of which pre-1970 (traditional MT) and contemporary song selection from your book to choose? In search of a new Shakespeare monologue? Need pop song ideas? This is the week to workshop possible rep and get great material suggestions so that your pieces are best prepared for the myriad of top college faculty you’re about to meet!
 
Week Three (Online):
College Faculty Guest #1: Successful Audition Songs/ Feedback Session
Workshop two of your top song ideas for feedback from a Faculty Member from NYU!
All while learning more about what NYU’s program has to offer, and discussing additional prescreen and audition strategies that will set you up for success!
 
Week Four (Online):
College Faculty Guest #2: Successful Audition Songs/ Feedback Session
Workshop two of your top song ideas for feedback from a Faculty Member from Pace University or Marymount Manhattan College
All while learning more about what Marymount’s program has to offer, and discussing additional Prescreen and Audition Strategies that will set you up for success!
 
Week Five (Online):
Find Your Monologue: Monologue Weed Through Read Through
Jennifer Johns (Pace University, University of the Arts Faculty) is back to take you through over 100 age appropriate monologues ideas cut to the right length and from published plays that will meet your audition requirements in her “Weed through read through” workshop to make sure every student has at least 3 contrasting hand picked monologues exactly right for you! Then, we will test drive your new and current monologues for feedback.
 
Week Six (Online):
College Faculty #3: Monologue Workshop
Workshop two of your top monologue ideas for feedback from a Faculty Member from Webster University and Boston Conservatory at Berklee (Boston)
All while learning more about what Webster and Boston Conservatory at Berklee’s programs have to offer, and discussing additional Monologue Prescreen and Audition Strategies that will set you up for success!
 
Week Seven (Online):
College Faculty #5: Audition Package Synthesis (Songs and Monologues)
Work with a top Faculty Member from University of Michigan or Carnegie Mellon on the overall Synthesis of your College Audition Package! Present two songs and one monologue for direct, one on one feedback!
 
Week Eight (Online):
Showcase! Mock Audition Day
Present your finalized audition package to a panel of top College Faculty for immediate feedback! Wrap up with an individualized assessment from your assigned BAA college coach and advisor! Come up with a Prescreen Filming plan and a finalized Audition Checklist and Calendar for the upcoming Summer and Senior year of auditions!

**Make-Up Class option:
Have the need to miss a class or two? While we prefer to keep the cohort together every week, life happens! With BAA Conservatory you will have access to a video library of all your classes 24 hours after they take place. If you miss a class you will both be able to view the video and receive an individualized assignment based on the class topic. Once you turn in your recorded response you will receive video feedback on your work!
