After the success of this winter’s BAA Onstage‘s A Killer Party, A Murder Mystery Musical, and Dear Edwina: Online Edition, Broadway Artists Alliance is pleased to announce its BAA Onstage Summer Season! As the newest edition to our summer programming, we are pleased to announce our all-virtual (online) productions of Disney’s High School Musical, Jr. and Peter Pan and Wendy! High School Musical will be a triple threat musical production divided into two casts by age (9-14 and 14-21), while our play, Peter Pan and Wendy will be open to performers of all ages 9-23!

BAA Onstage presents a unique opportunity to be a part of a show with professional level peers from all around the country, with the support and guidance of BAA’s expert directors and coaches! To audition, either join us on Sunday, April 18th, or send in a video audition by that date. Read below for more details on each show, production dates, what to prepare for your audition and more, including how to sign up and join us for the newest season of BAA Onstage! High School Musical, Jr.

Your favorite Disney Channel’s movie musical comes to life on stage! Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of love, friends and family while balancing their classes and extra curricular activities.

It’s the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes all find their cliques. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. The couple cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical. Although many students resent the threat posed to the “status quo,” Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well!

Cast JR: A full HSM cast of performers ages 9-14*
Cast SR: A full HSM cast of performers ages 14 and up*
*14 year olds will be considered for both JR and SR casts

Auditions via Zoom/Video auditions deadline: Sunday, April 18, 2021
Callbacks (via video): April 20th – April 26th
Cast announced: Tuesday, April 27th, 2021
Kickoff Event/First Music Rehearsal: Saturday, May 1st 2021
Remainder of Rehearsals Take Place: Tuesdays and Wednesdays June 15th through August 11th, 2021 (Rehearsal conflicts will be permitted if disclosed at the time of the audition.)

Rehearsal and Performance schedule (if cast):
While we will consider performers with rehearsal conflicts, your conflicts must be indicated at the time of your audition.
After our initial “Kick off” rehearsal on May 1st, rehearsals will always take place via Zoom for 10 weeks between June 15th and August 11th on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings between 6:00pm and 8:30pm. You will not be needed for all rehearsals, but will be scheduled for at least one rehearsal a week. Conflict requests will be taken into consideration and a final rehearsal schedule will be available when the Cast is given offers.

Peter Pan and Wendy

It’s time to get into the loopy fun and darker corners of J.M. Barrie’s original novel, with this stage adaptation by Doug Rand!

When the carefree and careless Peter Pan flies into the nursery of the Darling home, Wendy follows her instincts for maternity and adventure, bringing her little brothers along to the magical Neverland to take care of the motherless Lost Boys. Soon the Darling children are swept into Peter’s deadly battle with Captain Hook and his mostly-fearsome pirate crew.
