When should you audition? The sooner, the better as BAA admits students in a rolling basis (first come, first served)
What do you need to prepare for a live and/or Zoom audition? Preparation depends on your Major(s) of interest:
| Voice Majors: | 2 contrasting songs (16-32 bar cuts only) |
| Acting Majors: | 2 contrasting monologues (1 minute or less) |
| Voice AND Acting: | 2 contrasting songs (16-32 bar cuts only) + 1 monologue |
| Dance Majors: | You’ll learn and present a combination during our Dance Call |
| BAA Jr. | Any 2 pieces of your choice between song and monologues. |

Which BAA programs require to complete an audition?
You need to complete a BAA Audition (whether via pre-recorded video, in-person or one-on-one via Zoom) if you are thinking of joining any of our intensive programs in Musical Theatre, including:

How do Online Zoom Auditions work at BAA?
Zoom auditions begin with a complimentary parent information group session, after which individual auditions will take place. Each student has an individual audition time and will be seen privately (one-on-one) by the BAA Auditions team for Dance (when applicable), Voice and/or Acting admission. Applicants interested in Dance should make sure to request one of the dates that includes a virtual dance call as specified above. Once you sign-up for the audition by completing the form, you will receive an email from us with details, including the connection information!

How do In Person Auditions work at BAA?
Should BAA announce upcoming in-person auditions this season (TBD): upon arriving, you’ll check in for your appointment with the BAA Team. Prospective students will then get ready for the mandatory dance call (our team will teach a beginning and an advanced level combination for you to choose one to present!) while parents attend a complimentary information session with BAA’s Artistic Director. After the dance call, individual auditions will take place. Each student will have a specific individual audition time and will be seen privately by the BAA Auditions team for Voice and Acting admission. You will be accompanied by a skilled pianist, so if you are singing bring your sheet music in the right key! Once you sign-up for the audition, you will receive an email from us with further details.
Please know that at this time BAA has not announced any in-person audition dates for the 2024-2025 season
