6-Week Acting Class
With BAA Program Director Jennifer Johns

Dates: October 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th, November 2nd, and 9th

Recommended Ages: 10-18

Explore different acting methods while working on monologue audition technique, scene study, and on-camera skills with BAA’s Program Director, Jennifer Johns. This 6-week course concludes with an Industry Class where students perform for a top NYC Casting Director or Agent and receive individual feedback.

Class 1: Fundamentals of character development, discovery and exploration of established acting systems (Stanisklavski, Meisner, Adler, Chekov, etc).

Class 2: Musical theatre scene study using Broadway scripts.

Class 3: On-camera audition technique using commercial copy.

Class 4: On-camera audition technique using prime time TV screenplays.

Class 5: Audition monologue technique.

Class 6: Industry week, perform for a top NYC Casting Director or Agent and receive individual feedback.
