NATIONAL AUDITION TOUR PREPARATION & REQUIREMENTS

VOICE MAJORS
Demonstrate vocal range, musicianship, and performance skills by preparing 2 contrasting 16 - 32 bars of music from the musical theater classic or contemporary repertoire. Please bring your sheet music, clearly marked for the accompanist. No transposition or lead sheets please.

ACTING MAJORS
Demonstrate acting range, depth, and performance quality by preparing either 2 contrasting monologues, 2 minutes or under (i.e. contemporary / classical), or 1 monologue and 1 16-32 bar song. We particularly enjoy song selections that tell a story and establish character.

DANCE MAJORS
You will be invited to a group dance audition. Be prepared to learn several short combinations from the current Broadway Repertoire. Please bring both tap shoes and jazz sneakers or character shoes. Please arrive warmed up and dressed to dance. Voice and Acting Major applicants who would also like to be considered as a Dance Major applicant, are welcome to participate in the afternoon dance call in addition to their individual Voice and Acting auditions.
